Special Tomato Recliner Support System
The Special Tomato Recliner Support System (RSS) comes with an adjustable 5-point chest harness and 3-point pelvic harness to safely maintain a stable well-aligned position of the trunk and pelvis. The RSS offers a firm yet comfortable platform for positioning the hips and pelvis for proper body alignment. The adjustable height headrest promotes a midline position of the head and the leg supports with height and lateral adjustability to cradle lower extremities in neutral alignment and discourage hyperextension of knees. The easy to clean drape is secured with four padded straps to protect furniture and will work with most recliner brands.
The RSS unit can be used on its own or the Special Tomato Soft-Touch Back Liners and Hip-Flex Seat Cushions and can be integrated into the system. These enhance lateral support and comfort. Hip-Flex Seat Cushions were designed specifically for the RSS system with a "living hinge" to comfortably move with and support the body as it reclines. Soft-Touch Hip-Flex Seat & Back Liner Sizes 2 - 5 fit on the RSS. The Special Tomato Recliner Support System is portable and easy to store. It folds and clips together with a handle to hang it from a coat hook on a wall or the back of a door. The RSS weighs just 4.5kg and is very easy to transport.
The product can be used for both paediatric and aged care. Please note the recliner is not included and the Soft-Touch Back Liners and Hip-Flex Seat Cushions are sold separately.
